What a way to start the morning. The drive in was fine but as soon as I got to work things went hairy. I don't normally drive in but today hubby wasn't feeling well so he stayed home. Normally he drops me off at work, but today I had to drive in. Anyway, we have to use parking passes to get to the employee parking lot. Since I don't normally drive I don't have a parking pass. There is a visitors lot and the attendant there gave me a hard time. Last Friday he let me into the lot because he thought that I would be able to get a pass permanently (I told him that I wouldn't be able to get one). Today comes along and I had another 'discussion' with the guy and this time I ended up paying for parking, went up to work to get a parking pass, brought down the person who handles it with me, they talked, got my money back, and I went to go park in the parking lot with a pass. So that was the start of my day. Lovely huh?

I did do some work after all. There are still a few to do but I've left that for my successor. I got a new position at work. I'm a little nervous as I've never really had much experience in that area but my counterpart on the other team recommended me for the job. I was actually flabbergasted and I didn't know how to re-act. I'm looking forward to see what this new position will bring.

Do I feel like doing work today? I'm currently debating that. I can log into work and do a few things, but I'm not sure if I feel like it today. If I do this I'd be helping a co-worker get ahead. I have been doing this for the last little bit. I still haven't convinced myself yet but I think I just might if I still can't figure out what else to do.

I think I enjoy food too much...I have a really yummy vanilla bean latte sitting beside me and I'm enjoying that a lot. I figured that I would treat myself this morning. I drove into work today instead of my husband and I really wanted some sort of pick me up. Since I've had this latte and my head is a bit spinny. I don't know if it's because I am tired or if it's from the latte or perhaps a combination of both.

Mmmm...Devil's Food Chocolate Cupcakes...that's the smell that is permeating throughout our house. I still have to ice them though I think I will wait til tomorrow. They are for our picnic lunch at work. They are just a bit bigger than the two bite brownies but just as tastey and less filling.

I've been up for 3 hours now and I'm still yawning away. I am so tired this morning. Yesterday was non-stop running around and it was so nice when I got into bed. I don't think I had any problems falling asleep. I did have difficulties waking up this morning. I'm still waking up as I write this. Definitely have to go to bed early tonight.

Can't close my eyes or I'll end up having a snooze at my desk at work.

I am so very happy that I have a radio! I don't ever want to go without a radio at work again.

Lunch is in a few hours...what to do? And what to do about this headache/tiredness/dizzyness that I have...Bah humbug

This morning is a better morning. I am not sleepy and tired. I have my radio so I get to listen to my tunes during work and I can now log into work from home. Of course I forgot to bring lunch so I'll be stuck eating instant noodles today. They are Thai instant noodles though. I also have watermelon chunks and an orange to snack on. My bamboo plant isn't doing so well. One of the stalks is going yellow. I am not thrilled with that and I don't how to stop it from going yellow.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Soba noodles...mmm...I never thought that the instant kind would taste so yummy. I definitely have to go pick more up. This one was the wasabi flavoured but it wasn't over powering. I picked it up at a T & T Supermarket. That place is amazing! I wish there was one that's closer to me.

It's the morning after a long weekend and I am tired. Not that I'm not normally tired at this time of the morning but I am a little more tired than usual. Plus, I returned my mil's radio and now I don't have a radio to listen to at work today. I'll have to remember to pick up one for here. It's too bad that I can't just listen online.

I was just looking on the Toronto Gas Prices website and I can't get over how ridiculous the cost of gas is. It's quite infuriating and just plain sucks. Thankfully we don't have a gas guzzling vehicle.

On a side note, I get to go home a half hour earlier because of the long weekend. Yay!

Traffic was actually quite light, typical for a Friday before a long weekend. I don't even want to imagine what it'll be like after work.

Had a nice walk with the hubby after dinner yesterday. It was nice to get a bit of exercise and just spend some quiet time with him. Just before heading to bed I discovered our cat's favourite spot in our room. It was absolutely adorable.

We have a wedding to attend in August and I just went to look for accomodations and I am having a tough time. The location of the wedding has an inn but all the rooms are booked. Now I'm not sure where to go or what. Argh. I hope I find something and reasonable too.

Good morning! Pizza lunch at work today. Yay! Last night was good. Vegged out in front of the tv after having a nice long walk shortly after dinner. Had a good night's sleep, though I'm a little tired now. I don't think my eyes had enough rest.

It's strange but after work last night I realised that one year goes by really quick. My granny passed away one year ago yesterday and I was commenting to my husband that it seems so long ago and at the same time it doesn't.

Dinner was good. Hubby made sloppy joes and we had them in sour dough bread bowls. I couldn't finish it all though. What was even better was that hubby cleaned up afterwards too. It was really nice that he did. You know I'm really happy we found each other. Of course there are days where we can really get to each other. It's been a crazy ride for the two of us. We've been through so much in the last nine years. Our 2nd (wedding) anniversary will be coming up in a few months. Crazy.

I never thought that I would keep a blog but low and behold here I am. It's been almost 3 weeks since we (hubby and I) moved into our new house/home. We settled in well there and I am very happy that we have a place to call our own. Jazzy (our cat) seems to like it there too. She knows where every sunbeam is during the day and wanders from room to room to catch the best light & warmth. Still have some unpacking to do but in time that will happen.

I wonder what we'll have for supper tonight.

My first entry and I can't wait for my work day to end. I'm not feeling well and I currently have a blue scarf wrapped around my neck.
